Van Drie B.V. provides the selection and purchase of calves for the Dutch veal industry and maintains contracts with veal farmers.
The calves, originating from dairy farming, are placed at veal farmers whom the VanDrie Group has been working with for many years. Van Drie B.V.'s technical specialists guide the veal farmers in the areas of animal health care, feeding and barn equipment.
All veal farmers must comply with the requirements and controls of the Vitaal Kalf (Vital Veal). This system includes requirements on animal welfare, the use and registration of veterinary medicines, hygiene in relation to the use and reduction of antibiotics, identification and registration, controlling vermin, the quality of drinking water and the control of prohibited substances. This is how we achieve the best results together with farmers; for the calves and the chain.
